England Shaker Boxes
New
England Shaker boxes were created to help bring affordable
original art inspired gifts into the main stream retail
market. Realizing that not everyone can afford an original
painting, Janine wanted to make her artwork available to
anyone who enjoyed it.
After much trial and error the her" Town inspired"
Shaker box was introduced in 1999.
Now appealing to a wider audience the" New England"
Shaker box is available
selling nationally through Yankee Magazine advertising,
catalog sales and on line.
Janine has created new paintings of beautiful New England
landscapes for the
2009 Holiday Season. She also has animal scenes on boxes
as well.
New
England Shaker boxes make a wonderful gift filled with potpourri,
holiday ornaments or candles.
The
wooden Shaker style box is hand painted in the West Groton,
MA studio with thehelp of stusio assisant Marissa Toomey.
The original painting is scanned and placed in a computer
file, printed and cut,
then place on the box and sealed for a water proof finish.
They are a hand crafted,
imported, chipwood box. The size varies from 5 1/2"
to 6" wide. They are a hand painted with nontoxic paints
and have a "made in West Groton, MA" label on
the bottom of the box.
